Website Design & Development for Packers & Movers

Last updated: October 16, 2026 Digiintern Technologies Private Limited

Someone comparing movers usually has a few tabs open on their phone and checks the same things on each: is there a real address, can I get a rough price without a long call, will anyone answer on WhatsApp, and does this company look like the one I saw on Justdial. Whichever site answers those questions fastest gets the enquiry.

Most mover websites fail on the very first screen. The phone number is an image you can’t tap, the quote form asks for 14 fields including a dropdown for “type of goods”, and the photos are stock shots of foreign trucks with the steering on the wrong side. Customers who have read news stories about fake moving companies arrive already suspicious, and a site like that confirms it.

Where mover websites lose enquiries

The quote form is too long or too short. Too long and people give up halfway through. Too short, just name and phone, and your sales team spends ten minutes on each call only to find out it is a one-room move within the same society.

There is no proof the business exists. A GST number, a registered office address, photos of your own warehouse and branded trucks: without these, a careful customer assumes you are one more lookalike and moves on.

WhatsApp is an afterthought. Plenty of moving enquiries in India start as a message like “need shifting from sector 56 to sector 82 on the 15th”. If the button opens WhatsApp Web on a phone, or goes to a number nobody checks on Sundays, that lead is gone.

The site was designed on a big monitor. Movers’ customers browse at night on mid-range Android phones. If the call button scrolls out of view or the date picker breaks on a small screen, it doesn’t matter how good the design looked in the approval meeting.

What we build for movers

  • A quote flow in short steps. From and to pin codes, home size, floor and lift details, move date, then contact details. Little on each screen, but enough for your team to give a firm price on the first call.
  • Video survey booking. A slot picker for a WhatsApp or Google Meet video survey, so a customer relocating from another city can show you their home without waiting for a site visit.
  • A price and inclusions page. What a standard local 2BHK move includes, what costs extra (wardrobe dismantling, AC uninstallation, storage, transit insurance) and how GST is applied.
  • Trust pages people actually read. Your own photos, warehouse address, company and GST details, a sample invoice and a plain explanation of how damage claims are handled.
  • Route and branch templates. A layout your SEO team can reuse for routes and city branches, with fields for transit days and cost ranges rather than copy-pasted paragraphs.
  • Speed on cheap phones. Compressed images, no auto-playing sliders, a sticky call and WhatsApp bar, and a target load time under three seconds on 4G.

One opinion we hold firmly: put your phone number as tappable text in the header of every page, and never hide it behind a “contact us” click. People moving house want to talk to someone before they trust a company with their furniture.

Every form entry also goes straight to your CRM, a Google Sheet or your WhatsApp Business number with the move date at the front, so the person on the phones can deal with next-week moves before next-month ones.

Pricing, reviews and lead forms: what to be careful about

This is practical guidance rather than legal advice, but getting it wrong causes real trouble for movers.

  • If you show a starting price, show what it covers. “Local shifting from ₹4,999” that becomes ₹14,000 on moving day is exactly the kind of complaint that ends up on consumer forums, and misleading price claims can fall foul of consumer protection rules.
  • Use “IBA approved” only if you hold a current listing with the Indian Banks’ Association and can show the letter. Customers moving on bank transfers often ask for it, and a false claim is easy to check.
  • Show only genuine reviews. Embedding your Google reviews is fine. Writing testimonials yourself and adding made-up names is not, and fake reviews are something consumer protection rules specifically go after.
  • Quote forms collect names, phone numbers and home addresses. Under the DPDP Act 2023 you need clear consent wording, a short notice on how the data will be used, and no pre-ticked boxes for promotional messages.

How a website project runs

Month 1: we look at your current site, your enquiry records and three or four competitor sites, then agree on the page list and the quote form fields. You send photos of your trucks, team and warehouse, or we arrange a shoot if you’re in Delhi NCR.

Months 2 to 3: design on mobile first, then build, then testing on real low-cost Android phones and slow connections before launch. Old URLs are redirected so you don’t lose whatever rankings you already have.

Months 4 to 6: we watch where people drop out of the quote flow and change one thing at a time. Route and branch pages get added as the SEO plan needs them.

What we measure after launch

  • Quote form completion rate: how many people who start the form finish it
  • Taps on the call and WhatsApp buttons, page by page
  • Video survey bookings per week
  • Share of enquiries that arrive with full move details, so your team isn’t calling to ask basic questions
  • Mobile load time, checked every month as new pages and photos are added

A prettier site that gets fewer completed quotes is a worse site. We’d rather show you a plain page that converts than a slick one that doesn’t.

Send us your current website and we’ll go through it on a budget phone the way your customers do, then share a free audit of what is stopping people from asking for a quote. If you’re in Delhi NCR, come over to our Gurgaon office in Udyog Vihar Phase 4 and we can walk through it together on screen.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website for a packers and movers company cost?

It depends on the number of pages, whether you need route and branch templates, and how the quote form connects to your CRM or WhatsApp. A small branch site and a multi-city site with video survey booking are very different jobs. We give a fixed quote after a short call where we understand your routes and how your team handles leads.

Can you keep our existing domain and rankings?

Yes. We keep your domain, map every old URL to its new page with redirects, and check Search Console after launch for broken links or dropped pages. Some movement in rankings for a few weeks is normal after any rebuild, but planned redirects stop you losing what you already have.

Should we show prices on our website?

We recommend ranges with a clear list of what is included and what is extra. Customers trust a company that is open about cost, and it filters out people looking for a price you would never accept. Exact prices still need a survey, and the page should say so.

Which platform do you build on?

Usually WordPress, because your team can update photos, routes and prices without calling a developer each time. We keep plugins to a minimum so the site stays fast and easy to maintain. If you already use another platform that works well, we can work with it.

Do you write the content or do we?

We write it, based on a call with you and your operations team. You know how your crew packs a fridge or handles a car carrier, and we turn that into clear pages. You review everything before it goes live, especially prices, inclusions and any claims about insurance.
