Very few patients pick a dentist from a single search. Someone with a cracked molar types “root canal treatment cost in Gurgaon”, opens three clinic websites and a Practo listing, checks whether the dentist is an MDS or a BDS, and then sends a WhatsApp message to the clinic that answered their question most clearly. Someone thinking about aligners does the same thing over two or three weeks, searching “invisible aligners price Delhi” and “aligners vs braces for adults” before they ever call.
The problem is that most clinic websites are built to look nice, not to answer those searches. You get a home page, an about page and one “Services” page listing twenty treatments in bullet points. Google has nothing to rank for “dental implants in Sector 56” because no page on the site is actually about implants. So the aggregators and the clinic down the road with a proper implant page take that patient.
Where dental SEO usually breaks down
- One page for every treatment. A single services page cannot rank for implants, braces, crowns, wisdom tooth extraction and teeth whitening all at once. Each high-value treatment needs its own page that explains the procedure, the number of sittings, recovery and a realistic cost range.
- Practo outranks you for your own name. Search the clinic’s name and the first two results are often a Practo profile and a Justdial page. That is fine for discovery, but the patient then sees competitor clinics listed right next to you.
- Thin doctor information. Health content falls under what Google calls “Your Money or Your Life” topics. A two-line bio with no qualification, no registration number and no photo gives Google and the patient very little reason to trust the page.
- Price questions left unanswered. People search “dental implant cost” far more than “dental implant procedure”. Clinics avoid listing prices because cases differ. That is understandable, but a page with an honest range and an explanation of what changes the price will win the click over a page that says “contact us for pricing”.
- Blogs that attract the wrong readers. A post titled “10 tips for healthy teeth” might get visits from Chennai to Chandigarh. None of those readers will travel to your clinic in Dwarka. Content should pull in people who live within a realistic travel distance.
What we build and fix on your site
Treatment pages that answer real questions
We write separate pages for the treatments that bring revenue: dental implants, clear aligners, root canal treatment, braces, crowns and bridges, and paediatric dentistry if you offer it. Each page covers who the treatment suits, what happens at each visit, how long it takes and what affects cost. Your dentist reviews every page before it goes live.
Doctor profiles with verifiable credentials
Each dentist gets a proper profile: degree, college, specialisation, state dental council registration number, years in practice and the procedures they personally handle. If one doctor does implants and another does orthodontics, the pages say so.
Cost guide pages
Where you are comfortable, we publish cost guides with the range you actually charge in INR, and what pushes a case to the higher end (bone grafting, implant brand, number of units). No invented “starting from” figures.
Structured data
We add Dentist and LocalBusiness schema with your address, hours and phone number, and FAQ markup where the content supports it. This helps Google read your clinic details correctly.
Technical clean-up
Most patients search on a phone, often on mobile data. We fix slow pages, broken links, missing title tags, duplicate pages and image sizes, and make sure the site is properly indexed in Google Search Console.
Locality content
If your patients come from five or six nearby sectors or colonies, we write content that mentions those areas naturally, such as directions from a well-known landmark or metro station, instead of stuffing area names into footers.
Things a dental clinic has to be careful about
Dentists in India are regulated by the Dental Council of India and their state dental council, and the code of ethics limits how a dentist can promote themselves. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice, but in practice we follow a few rules on every dental page we write:
- No “painless”, “100% success” or “guaranteed result” claims. Every patient’s case is different and a page should say that plainly.
- Before and after photos only with the patient’s written consent, shown honestly without editing, and never presented as a typical outcome.
- Qualifications and registration details must match what the dentist actually holds. “Implantologist” or “cosmetic dentist” should only appear if the doctor has the training to back it.
- Patient testimonials need consent and should not reveal health details the patient did not agree to share.
- Equipment claims such as “laser dentistry” or “3D CBCT scanning” only if the clinic has that equipment in-house.
How the first six months usually go
Month 1
We audit the site, check Search Console data, look at which treatments bring the most revenue and map keywords to pages. Technical fixes start straight away. We usually rewrite the two or three most important treatment pages first, typically implants and aligners.
Months 2 to 3
Remaining treatment pages, doctor profiles, cost guides and schema. We also clean up your clinic details on Practo, Justdial and other listings so they match the website exactly.
Months 4 to 6
Locality content, a handful of genuinely useful articles answering questions patients ask at the chair, and steady improvement of pages that are close to ranking. In a crowded NCR or Bengaluru market, treatment pages often take four to six months to reach page one. In a tier-2 city it can be faster. We will not promise a ranking position, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
What we report on each month
- Phone calls and WhatsApp clicks from organic search, tracked separately.
- Appointment form submissions, broken down by treatment.
- Rankings for treatment and locality searches, such as “dental implants Sohna Road”, rather than vanity terms.
- Which treatments enquiries are about. Ten implant enquiries are worth more to most clinics than fifty scaling enquiries.
- Organic traffic to treatment pages, with a note on what changed and why.
We send this report monthly and walk you through it on a call. If something is not working, the report says so.
If you want to know why your clinic is not showing up for “dental implants near me” or your own treatment searches, ask us for a free SEO audit. We will look at your site, your Practo and Google listings and two or three nearby competitors, and tell you which pages to fix first. Call +91 96535 45560 or email info@digiintern.com. If you are in Delhi NCR we can meet at the clinic.
Frequently asked questions
How long does SEO take for a dental clinic?
For a single clinic in a busy city, expect four to six months before treatment pages rank consistently on page one, sometimes longer for implants and aligners where competition is high. Technical fixes and better pages often bring small gains in the first two months. In smaller cities with fewer competing clinics, results can come quicker.
Should we put treatment prices on our website?
We recommend a realistic range with an explanation of what changes the cost, such as the number of implants or whether bone grafting is needed. Patients search for prices constantly, and a clear range builds more trust than hiding it. If you are not comfortable publishing numbers, we can write cost guides that explain the factors without exact figures.
Is Practo enough, or do we still need SEO?
Practo is useful, but your profile sits next to competitor clinics and you do not control the page. Your own website is the only place where a patient reads only about you. Most clinics benefit from both: a well-kept Practo profile for discovery and a website that wins searches for specific treatments in your area.
Who writes the treatment content?
Our writers draft it based on a short briefing call with your dentist, and the dentist reviews every page before publishing. We do not publish medical content without the doctor’s approval. This keeps the information accurate and makes sure the claims on the page match what your clinic actually does.
Can you guarantee first-page rankings?
No. Nobody controls Google’s results, and any agency promising a guaranteed position is not being straight with you. What we can commit to is the work: proper treatment pages, technical fixes, accurate listings and honest monthly reporting on calls and enquiries.
